MTN Rwanda has announced that it is going to expand some of the new pipelines to address the issue.
A few days ago, some MTN Rwanda users said they had a slow internet connection or were calling for trouble.

MTN Rwanda said the slowdown was due to an increase in its network users, as in the last few days measures have been taken to stay at home, with the use of MTN networks increasing by 40%.
MTN reports that in some parts of the country there has been an increase in this rate, more than double the number of their networks used in normal days.

MTN reports that in some parts of the country there has been an increase in this rate, more than double the number of their networks used in normal days.
On Twitter, MTN said: "The increase in network users has caused a stir so that in some areas customers will have access to the internet slowly."

Ndatira Fabrice, Head of Technology at MTN Rwanda, said that some of the pipelines in the City of Kigali are going to be expanded to accommodate all users.

In the City of Kigali, pipelines will be purchased by April 30, 2020 and in parts outside Kigali by May and June this year.
In Gasabo District, pipelines will be purchased in 27 different parts of the district, in Kicukiro it will be purchased in 17 areas and Nyarugenge in 10 areas.
Some commentators via MTN Rwanda Twitter pointed out that parts of Kicukiro such as Samuduha, Kanombe-Kabeza, Nyamirambo in Nyarugenge and elsewhere are among the problems with slow internet access.
“The use of our networks has increased in some areas,” Ndatira said in response. We started expanding those networks. Kabeza is in an area that is expanding our network. We will expedite the process and hope that it will solve your problem. ”
Ndatira said that one of the ways they could use to buy MTN Rwanda networks, such as for Internet users, was to add more carriers that would help in the event of a large number of users.
He assured that the internet would speed up the networks once they were expanded. "By expanding our network, we hope the internet will be faster," he said.
MTN Rwanda was the first company to arrive in Rwanda in 1998, which also has a large number of customers as the latest figures from the Regulatory Authority, RURA, show that it has more than four million subscribers.
